At VILLAGE LEVEL

MAN-POWER REQUIREMENT

For villages with a population of approximately 1000 population, the Anganwadi workers should be trained for :

• Prevention of oral health diseases

• Promotion of oral health care in mother and child

At the village level it is intended to give special training of oral health to Anganwadi workers and village health guides in preventive infant dental care and promotion of oral health in mother and child. At the sub-centre level the male and female health worker / multipurpose workers would be given training in oral health for prevention of diseases in the community, oral health education to the community, relief of pain and appropriate referrals to the Dentist.

TREATMENT

Anganwadi worker and Village Health Guide, after suitable training , should provide preventive infant dental care and promotive oral health care and education for mother and child.
