Apart from organizing training programmes for the health workers and schoolteachers, various activities are also being conducted under the aegis of National Oral Health Care Programme to educate children and
community about Oral Health.
SCHOOL ORAL HEALTH PROGRAMME
-
In the year 1999-2000,
1.50 Lac schoolchildren were educated about oro-dental problems and methods of prevention in collaboration with members of Indian Dental Association.

In the year 2000-2001, the members of National Oral Health Care Programme and Doctors from Department of Dental Surgery,
AIIMS educated 60,000 schoolchildren.

In the year 2001-2002,
1.55 Lac schoolchildren and 2700 schoolteachers were educated.

During the academic year 2002-2003, the Department of Dental Surgery has educated
97,000 schoolchildren and 2700 teachers on oral health under the aegis of National Oral Health Care Programme.
COMMUNITY ORAL HEALTH PROGRAMME

During the last 4 years, more than 30 camps and 4
symposia have been organized to generate oral health awareness among the people.

About 22 different camps and exhibitions have been organized by other organizations with
the help of National Oral Health Care Programme.
